How to Activate or Enable 2 Step Verification in Facebook

As you know Google has taken utmost care of users by activating step 2 verification.Facebook also launched the two step verification before so many days to add a extra layer to the security to all it's users but problem is this feature is not available in all countries.If you are one who want to have more security to your Facebook then this awesome post is for you.

How Two Step verification works?

In normal verification process you will be asked password as-usual  to give you access to your account. But where as in two step verification you will be asked for password and also the for the randomly generated code sent to you (to your mobile as text message or to your app ) so that even though the person who knows your password can't directly gain access to your account unless he/she get the random code sent you!

How to Add Step 2 in Facebook :

Facebook calls Two step verification as "Login Approvals". As this is not available  we are going to make use of the proxies of other countries in which Facebook's "Login Approval" is launched!.

• To change proxy settings on your Firefox browser open the Tools--->"Optiions'---->"Advacned" --->and then hit on "Settings"
  

• After Connection settings on on your browser, check the option " Manual Proxy Configuration" and enter the prosy address in the HTTP Proxy and the port number.here in this tutorial we have use UK's proxy.

• After saving the settings login into your Facebook account and open the "security settings" which is present in the "Account settings" you can open account settings directly from here [official] and security settings directly from here[official link].
  

• As soon as you open the security page you can see the "Login Approvals" if you can't see there is something wrong in proxy..so try other proxy.
• Click on the Login Approvals option.You will get a popup to get started as shown in below image.
  

• Click on Get started to activate your mobile for Two Step verification on your account!.
• If you want to setup your smart phone to receive the random codes generated.by Facebook app then select the "Android,iPhone options. or if you wan to setup with mobile sms then you can click on other option.

• Here we are showing you on setting up mobile sms so we are choosing other option.
• Select the "other" options and then hit on "Continue"
• When you hit on continue button Facebook sends you a text message to your mobile registered with Facebook and asks  you to enter the code received to your mobile number.

So when some one tries to enter into your account from the unrecognized browser with password. they can't gain access to your account. until you they get access to your mobile phone.
